Tom Wort will land in Milan next February to join the four times italian champions Milano Rhinos for the upcoming 2014 season.
Amazing start for Rhinos’ transfer market. First big deal is Tom Wort, the English Linebacker which led the Oklahoma Sooners defense to win two out of three bowls they played from 2010 to 2012.
During his three years with the Sooners (starter in 33 games out of 37) he collected almost 200 tackes, 10 sacks and 1 touchdown after interception.
Wort, born in Crawley (West Sussex – UK) in 1991, was able to lead the Sooners defense to overwhelm the opponents offense 15 times in 18 games, in front of over 82.000 cheering supporters each game.
32 wins in 40 games and 2 Bowls wins, are the Sooners stats that led the NFL scouts to give him eligibility before his senior year, allowing him to enter the draft in 2013 when we had been selected first, then released by the Tennessee Titans.
